Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Refund Rocket website and services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by REFUND 43 LLC ("Refund Rocket", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2) Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account information up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

3) What the Service provides

Refund Rocket provides a guided intake experience to collect information and documents needed to prepare a federal tax return. Based on the information you provide, we help prepare and electronically file ("e‑file") your federal return with the IRS when you authorize us to do so.

Refund Rocket is not a bank and does not provide legal advice. Tax outcomes depend on your individual facts and the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.

4) Your responsibilities

You agree that:

  • You will provide complete and accurate information and will review your information carefully before submission.
  • You will only upload documents you have the right to share and that relate to your own return (or a return you are authorized to file).
  • You are responsible for the final contents of your tax return.

5) Authorization to e‑file

If the Service presents an authorization step (including an electronic signature, consent checkbox, PIN, or similar mechanism), you authorize Refund Rocket to prepare and submit your federal tax return electronically. You agree that electronic records and signatures are legally binding to the extent permitted by law.

6) No guarantee of results

We work to help ensure you claim credits and deductions you are eligible for based on the information you provide. However:

  • We do not guarantee any specific refund amount or tax outcome.
  • We do not guarantee IRS acceptance of any return.
  • Estimates shown in the Service are informational and may change during preparation and final review.

7) Direct deposit

If you provide bank details for direct deposit, you are responsible for ensuring the routing and account numbers are correct. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect banking information you provide.

8) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
  • Upload malware or content intended to disrupt the Service.
  • Interfere with or bypass security features.

9) Intellectual property

The Service and its content (excluding content you submit) are owned by Refund Rocket or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal use, subject to these Terms.

10) Your content

You retain ownership of the information and documents you submit to the Service. You grant Refund Rocket permission to use, store, process, and transmit that content as needed to provide the Service, including document recognition/OCR and e‑filing.

11) Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

12) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REFUND ROCKET DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

13) Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REFUND ROCKET WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REFUND ROCKET’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID REFUND ROCKET FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IF YOU PAID NOTHING, REFUND ROCKET’S TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED $100.

14) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Refund Rocket from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

15) Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service, users, or comply with law.

16) Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

17) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
